We are creating a series of curriculum-aligned nursery rhymes which support 1-6 year-olds with language acquisition, development and comprehension.

Why The Humble Beans?

We know that parents and teachers have a lot of nursery rhymes to choose from. But as parents, teachers and primary experts we also know that it can be really hard to find the right nursery rhyme. So we decided to create our own!

Each nursery rhyme comes with:

• a video of the nursery rhyme

• a video of the nursery rhyme with EYFS specialist teacher support

• a set of teaching ideas around each nursery rhyme

Our nursery rhymes are designed for:

• long-lasting engagement for children and adults

• language acquisition and development

• building musical and linguistic listening skills

For each nursery rhyme and animation, we carefully consider:

• the instrumentation, keeping it as natural as possible

• the tempo and pitch, making sure they’re appropriate for children to join in

• the colour palette, ensuring it’s appropriate for SEND children

• the pacing of the captions, so that they’re easy for children to follow
